The new computer equipment to be used by officers from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra is worth approximately PLN 100,000. The money was used to purchase several computer sets, laptops, digital cameras, monitors, printers, cameras and specialist equipment. The funds came from the budget of Jelenia Góra City Hall.

The city provided the police in Jelenia Góra with a total of PLN 290,000, including PLN 40,000 for additional services in the city, PLN 30,000 for crime prevention, PLN 110,000 for repairs and modernisation of police buildings, as well as for awards for officers.

The symbolic handover of the equipment to the municipal police chief, Insp. Zbigniew Markowski, was carried out by Mayor Marcin Zawiła.

“The mayor and councillors understand the police’s needs perfectly and support them because the safety of Jelenia Góra residents is also important to them,” say officers from the Jelenia Góra Municipal Police Headquarters. “For many years, funds provided by the local government have helped maintain police facilities and infrastructure in good condition, which improves the working conditions of police officers.
