The incident was reported to us by a Reader. The incident occurred on Wednesday, September 17, in Zabłocie near Nowogrodziec. At approximately 7:18 p.m., the driver of the Passat, a 19-year-old resident of Bolesławiec gmina, lost control of the vehicle, crossed into the opposite lane and then ended up in a roadside ditch.
As a result of the incident, only the 21-year-old Volkswagen passenger (also a resident of Bolesławiec gmina) was injured. The man was traveling without a fastened seat belt and suffered a fracture of the first lumbar vertebra. He was taken to hospital.
The police are determining the cause of the accident.
