The incident was reported to us by a reader. The accident occurred on Monday, September 15, on the road between Warta Bolesławiecka and Iwiny. At around 5:25 a.m., the driver of an Opel Vectra—a 21-year-old from Olszanica (Złotoryja County)—lost control of the vehicle on a bend, crossed into the opposite lane and collided with the correctly traveling driver of a Fiat Tempra, a 26-year-old resident of Złotoryja.
The Fiat’s passenger was injured in the collision. She suffered a spinal injury and was taken to hospital. Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
