On Monday, September 8, from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., Jelenia Góra police officers—particularly on the city’s main roads—conducted the “Slow Down, You’ll Reach Your Destination” operation. The result? 78 fines issued for exceeding the speed limit. Moreover, in the morning, officers arrested six drunk drivers.
Four driving licences and 11 vehicle registration certificates were also seized due to the vehicles’ technical condition. The aim of the operation is to improve road safety. Police announced that these activities will be conducted regularly.
Police remind drivers: excessive speed is one of the most common causes of road accidents.
