The incident occurred on Thursday, August 28, on Paderewski Street in Lubin. At around 9:00 p.m., a young man approached a woman from Lubin. He asked whether she would give him a cigarette. The woman quickly realized that the man was interested solely in her jewelry. After the unsuccessful attempted theft, the would-be perpetrator fled.

The woman notified the police, providing a description of the man who was a fan of women’s jewelry. Officers detained him in one of the parking lots. He turned out to be an 18-year-old resident of Lubin commune. He was placed in police custody.

It turned out that the 18-year-old already had two thefts to his name (he stole a bicycle and a mobile phone). He now faces up to five years in prison.
