Bolesławiec police conducted the “Speed” operation on 22 August, with the aim of improving safety on the roads of the town and county. Officers checked 108 vehicles and issued 92 penalty fines for exceeding the permitted speed.
Police remind drivers: excessive speed is one of the most common causes of road accidents, while seat belts are the most effective way to ensure safety while driving. Half of the people who die in road accidents could still be alive if they had been wearing seat belts at the time of the collision.
