On 17 August, from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., police officers from the Prevention Department of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Jelenia Góra (Sergeant Beata Sosulska-Baran and Senior Constable Dawid Czerwiński) patrolled the city centre on bicycles.
During their service, the officers paid particular attention to socially disruptive offences. They checked the identities of 13 people, instructed several people, and issued fines to two people for consuming alcohol in a public place.
On Wojska Polskiego Street, they noticed five female cyclists, one of whom was pushing her bicycle. It turned out that they were tourists from the Czech Republic. One of them was unlucky and damaged her rear wheel. The officers were prepared for such an eventuality, decided to help the Czech woman, and replaced the inner tube in her bicycle.
