The city responded to residents’ requests and is completing the installation of a new playground on Budowlanych Street. “Residents of this street had been waiting a long time for this area to be developed. The number of signatures collected in support of the proposal confirms this,” says city mayor Robert Łężny.

This week, the city equipped the playground with new, certified play equipment, including seesaws and swings, a spring rider, bridges, a sandbox and a slide. “Once the installation is complete, the area will be tidied up. This summer, the children will be able to enjoy the new recreational space,” the mayor assures.

The city spent more than PLN 20,000 on the new playground.

The city also installed new play equipment in another part of town—the Public Kindergarten. Here, however, the work focused primarily on demolishing the old terrace and creating a safe play area in its place. “We decided to completely demolish the kindergarten’s worn-out terrace and adapt it into a play area for the children. We laid new paving stones and curbs here, making the space practical and modern. This arrangement will make it possible to expand the playground further in the future,” the mayor adds.

The work at the Public Kindergarten cost PLN 38,000, of which just over PLN 30,000 was financed by the European Union project entitled “Little Ones in Action. A Safe Playground on Parkowa Street,” במסגרת the Rural Development Programme.
