Criminal division police officers from the station in Bolesławiec detained two residents of the county, aged 23 and 32, who are suspected of possessing drugs and assault. Based on the evidence gathered and their inquiries, the officers established that the two men were connected with drug-related crime. In residential premises located in Bolesławiec and occupied by the suspects, police officers found hidden narcotic substances. The substances secured included 900 portions of marijuana, 25 portions of methamphetamine, 6 ecstasy tablets and 4 kilograms of tobacco without Polish excise duty markings.
In addition, both suspects are also responsible for assaulting a man in June in the Gromadka municipality. The men had previously been recorded for similar offences. The detainees will now answer for their actions before the court. Let us recall that possession of narcotic substances is punishable by up to 3 years in prison, while if a significant quantity is involved, the sentence can increase to as much as 10 years.
