Officers from the Traffic Division of the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec, together with Rev. Artur Kotrys from the Bolesławiec Marian Basilica, conducted a two-day operation aimed at improving road safety. On the first day, during vehicle checks, officers reminded drivers of the applicable regulations and handed out windshield stickers bearing the words “I never drive after drinking alcohol,” while the priest appealed for prudence and gave drivers images of St. Christopher.
On the second day of the operation, a preventive meeting was held during which police officers spoke about road traffic hazards and so-called grandparent scams, which have recently been affecting older people and those living alone throughout the country very frequently. They also handed out leaflets containing preventive advice.
