Police officers from Bolesławiec caught a 41-year-old foreign national suspected of stealing steel and cast-iron pallets worth more than PLN 112,000, used to transport car engines. He was detained after officers spotted the pallets in question, along with metal mounting brackets, at a scrap metal collection point.
The suspect worked with one of the companies producing engines, providing transport services as a TIR truck driver. The 41-year-old was detained during another loading operation. The man confessed to the crime. He now faces up to five years in prison.
