Police officers from Kruszyn detained a 21-year-old resident of Bolesławiec who stole 10 sewer manhole covers in our county. The losses were estimated at PLN 3,500. The man transported the stolen property to a non-ferrous metal collection point. He stopped stealing when the weight of the load he was carrying caused his car to break down—which... also ended up being scrapped.
What is more, it turned out that in February this year, the suspect also misappropriated a payment card, and in March he stole a mobile phone from a minor. In total, the losses caused by the 21-year-old were estimated at approximately PLN 4,500.
The man from Bolesławiec had previously been convicted. He now faces up to 8 years in prison.
