Police officers apprehended a 22-year-old resident of Nowogrodziec municipality who, during the night of January 24–25, broke into one of the apartments and stole, among other things, a television and a heating furnace. The losses were estimated at more than PLN 1,800.
It turned out that the 22-year-old had committed three more burglaries. Over the past year, the man broke into residential and utility premises. His loot included electric motors, power tools and copper cables, worth nearly PLN 4,000 in total.
The suspect confessed to the crime. Police recovered the television, which will be returned to its owner. The detainee faces up to 10 years in prison.
