The Valentine’s Day concert at the Janusz Korczak II General Secondary School in Bolesławiec is now behind us. The event was organized by the Student Council, supervised by German teacher Agnieszka Niedźwiecka, and classes I c and I d. The proceeds from the event will be donated to Jakub Legieżyński, a 14-year-old resident of Kraśnik Górny who fell ill with lymphoblastic leukemia.

Everyone gathered in the school auditorium had the opportunity to hear songs from the repertoires of Happysad, Marek Grechuta, Haddaway, the Beatles and Metallica. The performances by the first- and second-year students were judged by a jury consisting of: Mieczysław Szwed, a teacher of national defense preparation and civics, Krzysztof Malina, a physical education teacher, Rev. Jakub Norman, a religion teacher, and Piotr Koziar, a music teacher at Municipal School Complex No. 1 in Bolesławiec.

Classes I b and I d tied for first place. Classes I c and II a came second. Class II b took third place. Students from the two winning classes will choose a day without being called on or given surprise quizzes.
