A delegation from Podlaskie Voivodeship visited Bolesławiec on 13 December. The guests from Podlaskie observed educational solutions in county education. The “Modernisation of Vocational Education” project, in which 30 Lower Silesian counties participated, is already known throughout the country. The delegation made no secret of its admiration for the local solutions and openly said that it wanted to introduce them in its own region.
– On Friday, we hosted both department heads and teachers from Podlaskie Voivodeship. We showed them our educational solutions, which motivate students and produce excellent results in vocational education – said Alicja Krzyszczak, head of the Department of Education, Culture, Physical Culture and Sport of the Bolesławiec County Office.
– Systemic projects can work in different ways. Sometimes even in smaller joint projects, the larger one from a bigger city or a larger school wins anyway – said Grzegorz Tymiński from Podlaskie Voivodeship, who helped implement educational initiatives in his area.
– The decision that mechatronics would be taught in Bolesławiec, while, for example, hotel-management workshops would be located in another county, had specific reasons – emphasised Dariusz Kwaśniewski, a member of the Bolesławiec County Board and co-creator of the project. – It was not easy to create such an efficient network of the necessary workshops, but we succeeded. We succeeded so well that our project has been recommended by the Ministry of Education as a model project for other voivodeships to follow. This is why people responsible for education in Podlaskie Voivodeship visited us.
Our guests visited the Mechanical School Complex and the General and Vocational School Complex in Bolesławiec. – I am very pleased that we can showcase educational solutions that have proved good and effective both at our school and in Bolesławiec County, and that may now help modernise vocational education in other counties – summed up the headmistress of ZSOiZ in Bolesławiec, Laura Słocka-Przydróżna.
