This year, 916 students were admitted to schools run by Bolesławiec County. As starosta Tomasz Gabrysiak reported during the September session of the Bolesławiec County Council, a total of 29 classes were created across all types of schools.

The largest number of students began their education at technical schools. 448 people were admitted to these schools. Another 229 students chose first-degree vocational schools, while 239 people were admitted to general secondary schools.

The starosta noted that this year's admissions structure demonstrates the continuing predominance of vocational education in the county:

As you can see, 239 out of 916 students are students at general secondary schools. In other words, the vast majority attend vocational schools, technical schools and vocational schools.

And he added: – This is characteristic of our county. Because this division is not obvious.

Additional class at a vocational school

The large number of applicants made it necessary to create an additional class at a first-degree vocational school. It was established at Zespół Szkół Technicznych i Przyrodniczych:

Due to the large number of applicants, one additional class was created at a first-degree vocational school, specifically at Zespół Szkół Technicznych i Przyrodniczych.

Students come from outside the county

Of the 916 people admitted, 126 come from other counties.

Tomasz Gabrysiak said that he would like the number of such students to increase in the coming years.

Of all the students admitted, 126 graduates come from other counties. I hope – I will not hide it – that this figure will increase year by year.

And he concluded:

Looking at the quality of education in our schools, I think there is a strong chance of that.
