– The students I train are one big family. Many of them stay with us at the company for many years. This is when not only professional relationships are formed, which benefits work and integration – said an emotional Zbigniew Korczowski, owner of bakeries popular in the town, who this year received the Best Vocational Teacher statuette. The gala organized by the District Office in Bolesławiec and the Guild of Various Crafts and Small Business in Bolesławiec was held on November 30 at Galeria Oleńka.
The competition is now a tradition, and its aim is to select craft establishments that—as they observe legal protections for young workers and occupational health and safety rules when employing them, and implement practical vocational training programs—achieve the highest quality in students’ vocational education.
The statuettes for third and second place went to a related field—hairdressing. For many years of caring for students, they were awarded to Czesława Danielewicz and Janina Ładacka. Tadeusz Zarembecki of the “Wojtek” General Construction Company and Matylda Kryjak of the Hairdressing Salon in Nowogrodziec were also recognized.
– We greatly value the work of the Guild of Various Crafts and Small Business in Bolesławiec. This cooperation promotes the prestige of vocational education, to which Bolesławiec County has contributed in recent years as the leader of the Vocational Education Modernization project – said county head Cezary Przybylski.
It was also an emotional evening for Urszula Piróg, who is celebrating 30 years of work at the Bolesławiec Guild this year. – The county has existed for fifteen years, while Ula has worked effectively for the development of craftsmanship for twice as long – added County Board member Dariusz Kwaśniewski.
