Bartosz Wróbel, a representative of the Bolesłavia Inter-School Sports Club, is the sixth athlete from the club to qualify for Poland’s athletics team. Let us recall: Ewa Ochocka finished ninth at the World Under-18 Championships, Kacper Olszewski took fourth place at the School World Championships in the Jean Humbert Athletics Cup, while a trio of under-18 juniors (aged 16–17) competed individually against representatives of four countries (Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia) at the Olympic Hopes meeting.

On Saturday, 23 November, the Polish Youth Cross-Country Championships were held in Lubin. Bartosz took first place and, as the only athlete in the junior category, qualified for the European Championships in Belgrade.
