Bolesławiec police detained a 35-year-old resident of Bolesławiec who is suspected of stealing PLN 4,000. The incident occurred in December last year at a gaming arcade. The man noticed that a nearby machine was paying out a large number of coins to another player. The winner was counting how much he had won. The 35-year-old then took advantage of the moment of inattention and stole PLN 4,000 from the lucky winner.
Immediately after the incident, the thief went abroad. He returned several months later and... was arrested.
The suspect confessed to the crime. He told the officers that he had committed the theft because he needed money for a trip. The 35-year-old now faces up to five years in prison.
