– The Polish Red Cross asks us every year to prepare packages for children – says Agnieszka Niedźwiecka, a teacher at II Liceum Ogólnokształcące and supervisor of the Student Council. – The Bolesławiec branch of the Polish Red Cross asked us to prepare 10 packages, but the response from our young people was so great that we prepared almost twice as many.
The packages, which will go to children under the care of the Bolesławiec branch of the Polish Red Cross, contained sweets, school supplies, and even cosmetics and stuffed toys.
– Our students are very involved in this type of initiative – emphasizes Agnieszka Niedźwiecka. “Dwójka” also cooperates with the Powiatowy Zespół Szkół i Placówek Specjalnych in Bolesławiec. Students of II LO help organize a carnival party at PZSiPS. This winter, they performed so well that they were asked to organize two events: an Andrzejki celebration and a carnival party.
Both district and municipal schools—primary schools and lower-secondary schools—joined the Polish Red Cross initiative. – The response was incredible – admits Teresa Zielińska from the Bolesławiec Polish Red Cross. – We are very grateful to all the schools.
We will return to this topic.
