Today, a ceremonial gala marking the 65th anniversary of the Powiatowy Zespół Szkół i Placówek Specjalnych in Bolesławiec was held at the Teatr Stary in Bolesławiec. The anniversary provided an opportunity to sum up the institution’s many years of activity. For six and a half decades, it has provided care, support and education to children and young people with special educational needs.
The event was attended by representatives of local authorities, institutions cooperating with the school, current and former employees, students, parents and friends of the institution. Bolesławiec County, as the governing body, was represented by Bolesławiec County Governor Tomasz Gabrysiak, County Board Member Alina Zarembecka, and Deputy Chairmen of the County Council Bogdan Biernat and Antoni Stec.
The ceremony recalled the most important events in the school’s history, its development and achievements that have built the institution’s reputation over the years. There were also words of thanks for the teachers, educators, staff and everyone involved in creating a student-friendly place that supports students’ comprehensive development.
In offering his congratulations, Bolesławiec County Governor Tomasz Gabrysiak emphasized the enormous role the institution plays in the education system of Bolesławiec County.
– 65 years of activity is a beautiful history full of commitment, empathy and daily work for children and young people. I thank everyone who, over the years, helped create this exceptional school and contributed to its development. I wish you many more years of success, the fulfillment of ambitious plans and continued satisfaction from carrying out your mission – said the County Governor.
The anniversary gala was not only an opportunity for memories and summaries, but also to express gratitude to all those who, over the years, created and continue to create the exceptional community of the Powiatowy Zespół Szkół i Placówek Specjalnych in Bolesławiec.
