A 23-year-old resident of Bolesławiec has been apprehended by Bolesławiec police. In October this year, he allegedly defrauded loan companies at least twice. Each time, the scenario was the same. The young man, who was in debt, asked a friend to open a bank account in the friend’s name. He explained that a bailiff was seizing his money and that he needed help.
The friendly request turned out to be fraud. Using his friend’s personal details, the fraudster took out loans totalling nearly PLN 3,500. The 23-year-old now faces up to eight years in prison.
