172 women and 19 men aged 56–81 began studying at the University of the Third Age in Bolesławiec. The ceremonial inauguration of the academic year took place on Saturday, October 19. It was led by Dr. Zygmunt Bobowski, the rector’s plenipotentiary for the University of the Third Age. The Bolesławiec institution, run by Wiesława Olczyk, operates within the structures of the Wrocław University of Economics, Faculty of Economics and Management in Jelenia Góra. Also present at the inauguration was Vice-Rector for Development and Promotion Dr. Habil. Ryszard Brol.

Among the university’s students, 75 have higher education, 92 secondary education, 18 vocational education, and 6 primary education. Thirteen people were born between 1932 and 1940, 117 between 1941 and 1950, and 61 between 1951 and 1957.
