Last weekend, athletics stadiums hosted some of the final competitions of the 2013 season. Combined-event athletes competed in Zielona Góra, while the youth athletes of MKS Bolesłavia took part in the XXXIII International Multi-Meet in Jelenia Góra. Both appearances can be considered very successful.
Ewa Ochocka successfully competed in the under-18 girls’ heptathlon.Ewa Ochocka. One of the best hurdlers in Poland and a national-team representative at the World Championships, she treated the combined event as training. She won her age category without the slightest difficulty, scoring 4,753 points.
Damian Gradzik also proved to be the best in his age category, scoring 5,034 points in the under-18 boys’ decathlon.Damian Gradzik, Piotr Gadziński finished 16th in the decathlon.Piotr Gadziński. At the XXXIII International Youth Multi-Meet, the MKS Bolesłavia first team won the girls’ competition with 66 points, while the second team finished sixth with 38 points. The boys’ team took second place with 67 points, losing to the youth team from MKS Osa Zgorzelec by 7 points. The second team scored 34 points and finished a respectable sixth.
In the final classification of the XXXIII International Youth Multi-Meet, MKS Osa Zgorzelec won by 1 point with 74 points, ahead of the MKS Bolesłavia first team. The Aachen team took third place.
