In October, members of Bolesławiec’s DKF will see a charming and sincere portrayal of the strangest moments of growing up, Jordan Vogt-Roberts’ film “The Kings of Summer”. The feature-film debut of Saudi filmmaker Haifaa al-Mansour “Wadjda”. The first film made entirely in the Kingdom. In a country where no cinema existed for years and watching films was considered contrary to Islam, the director succeeded in making a warm, cheerful film that also conveys a message about great inner strength.
The following films will be: a portrait of contemporary Finnish society in the drama “Harbor – Love” directed by Aku Louhimies, and a new version of the famous Brothers Grimm fairy tale about the princess Snow White, told in the rhythm of flamenco. An extraordinary tribute to silent cinema, compared by critics to the Oscar-winning “The Artist.”
