Bolesławiecki Ośrodek Kultury – Międzynarodowe Centrum Ceramiki has announced the selection of a contractor in a tender for the delivery and installation of a retractable projection screen in the large auditorium of Kino Forum. The previous screen was slightly damaged while preparations were being made for one of the events—the surface was lightly abraded. This was slightly visible during screenings.
The most advantageous bid was submitted by Cine Project Polska Sp. z o.o. from Poznań. The company received 100 points in the bid evaluation and will carry out the investment.
Two companies took part in the procedure. The bid submitted by the Poznań-based company amounted to PLN 195,570 gross, while the competing proposal from Warsaw was cheaper but was rejected. The contracting authority had planned to allocate PLN 202,305 gross for the task.
The new screen is to be approximately 12 metres wide and 6 metres high, with a projection surface adapted for 3D cinema screenings. The device will be equipped with a tensioning system and electric controls. Installation is to be carried out using the existing mounts, which will limit interference with the building's structure.
After installation, the contractor will calibrate the NEC NC1503L projector used by the cinema.
According to the tender documentation, the contract with the contractor may be signed after five days have elapsed from the date the information about the bid selection was delivered.
