The incident occurred at around 4:00 a.m. on the A18. The 37-year-old resident of Kraków, who was driving the Renault tow truck, suddenly moved into the left lane and collided with a passenger car being driven correctly by a German citizen. The tow truck bounced off and struck a noise barrier. The man was thrown from the vehicle. He died at the scene. The German citizen was unharmed.
The police are determining the causes of the tragedy.
