The incident occurred on Sunday, 22 September, on the Ocice–Nowogrodziec route. At approximately 3:50 p.m., the 31-year-old driver of a Ford Mondeo lost control of the vehicle, left the road and hit a tree. It turned out that the driver was drunk. He had 1.6 per mille of alcohol in his system.
The 31-year-old was taken to hospital. He now faces up to two years in prison.
