For a month, a cashier at one of the shops in our county had been stealing money from the till (she did not enter the goods into the system or issue receipts; she showed customers the amount they were supposed to pay on an electronic reader). In this way, she stole over PLN 2,500. When the shop owner began to suspect the employee was not honest, he notified the police.
The 36-year-old resident of the Nowogodziec municipality admitted her guilt. She now faces a sentence of up to five years in prison.
