The Wielkie Serce Society for Assistance to Poles from Novyi Rozdil, Ukraine, and county head Cezary Przybylski invite you to a charity concert, which will take place on September 6 at the Old Theatre in Bolesławiec. It begins at 5:00 p.m..
The Society operates a vocal and instrumental ensemble, a song and dance ensemble, a choir, a theatre group and a choreographic dance ensemble. During the concert in Bolesławiec, the artists will try to present at least a glimpse of their work. They have many achievements to their credit. They successfully give concerts and participate in competitions and academic olympiads organized both in Poland and abroad.
The Wielkie Serce Society for Assistance to Poles was founded in April 2008. It helps families of Polish nationality, primarily elderly, single and large families left to fend for themselves. The Society accepts in-kind, food and financial donations from people of goodwill, then organizes assistance in the form of parcels and delivers them to its beneficiaries, whose number continues to grow.
In September 2008, under the patronage of TPP, the Karolina Lanckorońska Cultural and Educational Centre was established. A Polish school was set up there, attended by nearly 200 students from families of Polish nationality. The school is licensed by the Ukrainian Ministry of Education. It is a consular institution. Students learn Polish as their native language, as well as Polish history, geography, ethnography, culture and traditions.
“We warmly invite you to visit Novyi Rozdil, Ukraine, our school and the Society’s headquarters. The distance from the Hrebenne–Rava-Ruska border crossing to Novyi Rozdil is approximately 120 km. You will always be very welcome,” says Mirosława Tomecka of the Wielkie Serce TPP.
Money raised from ticket sales for the concert in Bolesławiec will support Polish families in Ukraine. Tickets, priced at PLN 15, can be purchased at the MDK office on Grunwaldzka Street in Bolesławiec, Monday to Friday, from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.
