The July workshops are very popular. Around fifty people take part in them. Classes are held every Friday and Saturday. Participants create and develop their artistic skills. The main theme of the activities is the dog.
“At the first stage, the work involves designing a dog,” says the instructor. “The children create all kinds of designs: dogs they own, dogs they are friends with, or ones they dream about—dachshunds, Dalmatians or mongrels. Dogs that we would not encounter in the real world are also created. Then, based on the design, a three-dimensional composition of the dog is made by cutting it out of cardboard. Now you can paint your new pet,” says Stanisława Wojda-Pytlińska.
Another important activity during the classes will be designing and making a mini-book containing a short story about a dog, with pictures and text. The final work will be a holiday postcard, whose main theme will, of course, be a dog.
The young artists’ work will be presented during an exhibition concluding the holiday workshops. Details to follow.
