Since Tuesday, June 25, a flood emergency has been in effect in Bolesławiec County. The road connecting Suszki with Stare Jaroszowice (Bolesławiec Rural Municipality) is impassable. In Nowogrodziec Municipality (near Milików), four farms were flooded. The Iwnica River, which flows through Milików and was swollen by heavy rainfall, burst its banks.

The water level was also high in Tomaszów Bolesławiecki (Warta Bolesławiecka Municipality) on the Bobrzyca River. The most endangered areas were secured with sandbags. The same was done in the village of Modła (Gromadka Municipality). The water level also remains high on the Bóbr River. However, the situation there is stable, and the region’s largest river is not at risk of overflowing its banks.

Since yesterday, the fire service (PSP and OSP) has intervened 44 times. The interventions mainly involved pumping water from flooded yards, placing sandbags and removing tree limbs brought down by the wind. The situation is currently stabilizing. Water in the flooded farms is slowly receding.
