“Rozbiegany Bolesławiec” is a sports and recreational event for everyone. Its main goal – apart from promoting a healthy and active lifestyle – was also (or perhaps above all!) to have fun.
The competition is organized in the spirit of Pierre de Coubertin’s Olympic ideal (“It is not the place that counts, but participation”) and the maxim of the great Polish promoter of physical activity, Zbigniew Cendrowski: “If you stood at the starting line together with others, you have already won, even if you are the last to reach the finish line.”
The event took place on Sunday, May 26, at Bolesławiec Market Square. The city’s running festival was to culminate in “Rozbiegany Bolesławiec” – a run, march and recreational walk without competition (only 600 m).
