Dariusz Jośko has decided to step down as head of the centre. He has his own professional plans. He is currently on health leave.
“We already know the date on which the agreement will be terminated,” says spokesperson Agnieszka Gergont. “However, we have not yet taken any steps related to finding a new person for this position. In June, there will be an official expression of thanks and farewell to the director,” the spokesperson adds.
Director Dariusz Jośko had worked at the Municipal Sports and Recreation Centre since 2003. He initiated and organised a number of sporting events, including events held with the participation of foreign partners. Many sports projects received funding from European Union resources, including the construction of an amphitheatre with two tennis courts and a shelter on the grounds of the Water Sports Centre on Spacerowa Street. Dariusz Jośko initiated and participated in a project aimed at marking 200 km of cycling routes in the city and Bolesławiec County.
