The theft took place in July last year at an exclusive hair salon in Germany. In December, officers from our city received information that the computer had been passed by a receiver of stolen goods to a woman from Bolesławiec.
The police detained the receiver of stolen goods and recovered the laptop. On 19 March this year, a German citizen visited the District Police Headquarters in Bolesławiec and thanked our officers. As he admitted, he had already lost hope that he would ever recover his property because the German police had discontinued the proceedings in the case.
The 26-year-old receiver of stolen goods from Bolesławiec faces up to 5 years in prison.
