Police officers from Kruszyn, while patrolling the Bolesławiec economic zone, noticed a man filling canisters in his vehicle’s trunk with diesel fuel and then handing the fuel nozzle to another man, who began filling a truck. The officers decided to investigate.
It turned out that the 36-year-old truck driver, a resident of Świebodzice, had resold fuel with a market value of PLN 860 to a 51-year-old resident of Gromadka municipality, who, knowing that the diesel fuel came from a crime, paid PLN 600 for it.
Both suspects admitted their guilt. They now face up to five years in prison.
