We are halfway through the winter holidays. All activities held so far at the Bolesławiec Cultural Centre–International Ceramics Centre have attracted very strong interest, drawing more participants than the available places. During the first week of the holidays, young residents of Bolesławiec could choose from activities offered by as many as seven BOK-MCC studios.
Throughout the week, the sculpture and ceramics studio (run jointly during the holidays by Edyta Orlińska, Magdalena Konieczna and Mateusz Grobelny) held art workshops called “Cube”. The activities included working with clay and creating installations from recycled materials. The two-day workshops on op art, held in the art studio of Stanisława Wojdy-Pytlińska, also attracted a full complement of participants.
There was also plenty happening in the music studio. For two days, Agata Pińczuk-Burdzy led musical theatre song workshops in the vocal studio. An unexpectedly large group took part in activities at the guitar studio of Mirosław Kuc. It is worth noting that this is a new studio, and regular classes begin after the holidays – every Monday and Tuesday.
The dance studios were the most popular. Both at the breakdance workshops (Kamil Nakonieczny and Paweł Klimek) and during the hip-hop dance classes led by Katarzyna Tomczyk-Jakubowska, participants filled the large dance hall at BOK-MCC to capacity. The week concluded with oriental dance workshops led by Alicja Kowal.
