The incident occurred on December 3 in Nowogrodziec, at around 5:00 p.m. The 29-year-old, a resident of Nowogrodziec Municipality, was sitting on the tracks. The driver of a freight train was unable to stop in time and ran over the man’s leg. The man was taken to hospital. His right leg was amputated. He also suffered a fracture of his left leg. It also turned out that the 29-year-old was under the influence of alcohol. The train driver was sober.
