For almost the entire month of September, soldiers of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment underwent tactical, combat and specialist training, culminating in exercises codenamed Anakonda 12. Colonel Andrzej Lorenc, commander of the 23rd Silesian Artillery Regiment, highly praised the preparation of the operational personnel and firing teams.
The scenario of Anakonda 12, the largest and most important exercises of the Polish army that year, assumed territorial claims by neighboring states, which ultimately led to armed conflict. The artillerymen’s task was to provide fire support for the troops engaged in combat.
The artillerymen from Bolesławiec once again performed excellently and demonstrated their military expertise.
