During the two-day natural-building workshop, participants will build a small house measuring approximately 3.5 x 3.5 m. It will be a 25 m² model house made of... wood, straw and clay, “cut” in half to demonstrate the technologies and possibilities offered by natural building. Anyone who wishes to can build such a structure.
The house design was developed in cooperation with the Scientific Circle for the Humanization of the Urban Environment of the Faculty of Architecture at Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
During the classes, participants will learn the technique of building a lightweight timber-frame structure, raising straw walls and applying clay plaster. The workshop will begin on Saturday, 25 August, at 10:30 a.m..

- Saturday, 25 August
- 10:30–12:00 – introducing workshop participants to natural-building technology, the house design and basic tools
- 12:30–15:00 – building the house
- 15:00–16:00 – break and a self-prepared barbecue
- 16:00–18:30 – building the house
- Sunday, 26 August
- 10:00–13:30 – continuing construction
- 14:30–15:30 – break and a self-prepared barbecue
- 15:30–18:00 – completing construction of the house.
The workshop is organized as part of the “Social Revitalization – Take the Opportunity” program, implemented under the Human Capital Operational Programme, Priority I – Employment and Social Integration, Measure 1.2 – System support for social assistance and integration institutions.
