The incident occurred on Sunday, 19 August, on Tysiąclecia Avenue (at the height of the Orlen petrol station). The driver of a Ford passenger car probably wanted to turn left (towards Tesco) and collided with an oncoming motorcycle. The force of the impact was so great that the motorcyclist was thrown from the vehicle, flew several dozen metres and landed on the road. The motorcyclist was not wearing protective clothing. The man was taken to hospital with serious injuries. The Ford’s driver and two passengers were also taken to hospital. The police are investigating the causes of the accident.
