On August 13–14, Bolesławiec police officers conducted the “Alcohol and Drugs” operation. Officers checked nearly 160 vehicles and arrested five drunk drivers. Those arrested face up to two years in prison.
Police remind the public that anyone getting behind the wheel under the influence of alcohol or drugs poses a real threat to themselves and to the lives and health of other road users. Even the smallest amount of intoxicating substances in the body leads to a drastic reduction in the ability to operate a vehicle.
