Thanks to cooperation between police officers from Bolesławiec and Spain, a woman who committed a crime 10 years ago and had been hiding from justice was arrested. In 2002, the woman, together with a minor, robbed a shop and used a gas pistol to steal the day's takings. The resident of Bolesławiec County was wanted under a European Arrest Warrant and was arrested in Spain. The painstaking and consistent efforts of Bolesławiec officers led to locating the place where the 31-year-old was staying.

After determining the location of the woman's hideout, the police applied to the District Court in Bolesławiec, which in turn applied to the Regional Court in Jelenia Góra for the issuance of a European Arrest Warrant. Spanish police arrested the wanted woman on 7 August 2012 near Madrid.

In connection with the sentence handed down by the court, the arrested woman is to serve a two-year prison term.
