The three arrested men—a father, his son and a cousin—are suspected of 15 thefts. The suspects stole... electrical cables worth PLN 50,000 from a chemical plant in the Bolesławiec municipality. The gang sold the cables at scrap yards in Bolesławiec. They earned approximately PLN 20,000 this way.
Police recovered approximately 1,200 metres of cable. Officers also determined that the suspects were preparing to commit another theft.
The arrested men are residents of the Bolesławiec municipality, aged 21, 23 and 41. All had previously been convicted of similar offences. They now face up to five years in prison.
