The incident occurred on Wednesday (June 20) at around 8:00 p.m. In Parowa (Osiecznica commune), a patrol of the Bolesławiec police attempted to stop a Nissan passenger car for a check. The car's driver did not stop. The officers began a pursuit. The Nissan driver fled toward Ruszów (Zgorzelec County). At one point, the Nissan stopped. Before the officers could get out of the police car, however, the Nissan driver reversed into and hit the police vehicle, then began fleeing again. The officers resumed the pursuit and caught up with the fleeing man in the Ruszów area.
When the Nissan stopped and a policewoman attempted to approach the car, the driver suddenly set off and tried to ram the police vehicle. The officers were forced to fire in the direction of the Nissan. Unfortunately, the driver managed to escape.
As a result of the incident (the earlier collision with the police vehicle), the policewoman was slightly injured. The woman is under observation in hospital. Police are searching for the Nissan driver.

Police arrested the Nissan driver. The 27-year-old had been hiding in Lubusz Voivodeship.
