Police caught three residents of Legnica, aged 26–28, in the act as they tried to fraudulently obtain a PLN 77,000 loan from one of Bolesławiec’s banks using a forged certificate. The gang operated throughout the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. Investigators suspect that since March this year it may have fraudulently obtained approximately PLN 200,000, electronic equipment and cars acquired through leasing.
The fraudsters now face up to 8 years in prison.
