The detention took place on May 31. During a patrol, police officers from Nowogrodziec noticed a 21-year-old resident of the Nowogrodziec Municipality. The man was walking with a bicycle to which a black bag was attached. When he saw the uniformed officers, the 21-year-old threw the transported items onto the ground and then began to flee.
The man was detained. The bag contained metal fence posts. It turned out that the 21-year-old had stolen 19 posts worth nearly PLN 1,000. What is more, a stolen mobile phone was also found on the suspect.
The 21-year-old now faces up to five years in prison.
