The 5th Wrocław Youth Olympiad is under way. Athletes will compete through June 17, 2012, in 24 sports. These include both team games and individual sports. The official opening of the WOM took place on May 12 at the Olympic Stadium in the capital of Lower Silesia
Young athletes from the Międzyszkolny Klub Sportowy Bolesłavia won 23 medals, including 13 gold and 1 silver. The gold medalists were:

The silver medal went to Beata Dąbal in the shot put (11.64 m). The bronze medalists were:

In athletics competitions held during the first part of the season, MKS Bolesłavia athletes achieved results that enabled them to secure high positions in the national rankings (domtel statistics).

The results of Dominika Kwaszcz in the 100 m hurdles and long jump (coach: Bartosz Gruman); Dominika Kamińska in the 3000 m (coach: Małgorzata Markowska); Klaudia Grabarz in the 100 m hurdles (coach: Ryszard Posacki); Kamil Kawka in the 600 m (coach: Ryszard Posacki); Dominik Steca in palant (coach: Rafał Kwieciński) and Kacper Olszewski in discus and javelin throw (coach: Tomasz Markowski) are currently the best in Poland.
