Officers of the Central Bureau of Investigation, working with police officers from Bolesławiec and Polkowice, stopped a passenger car driven by a 21-year-old for a roadside inspection. The inspection was carried out on 5 May near Bolesławiec. The officers searched the car and found approximately 5 kg of drugs inside. Their value was estimated at approximately PLN 100,000. The drugs were hidden in the boot, in a special compartment. It contained a gas cylinder, and the drugs had been concealed inside it. The detainee claimed that he had borrowed the car from a friend and knew nothing about the drugs found inside it. The officers established that the marijuana had been purchased outside Poland. The man faces a sentence of up to 15 years in prison.
