The incident occurred on April 15. Police officers from Nowogrodziec received a report of a burglary at a parish building in Gościszów. One of the perpetrators—a 55-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra County—was apprehended by residents of the municipality. Officers found a box containing parish documents on the suspect.

According to the officers’ findings, one of the burglars entered the building adjacent to the church by smashing a windowpane. At that time, the second suspect was acting as a lookout. His suspicious behavior drew the attention of Gościszów residents, who detained the man and called the police.

Shortly afterward, the police apprehended the second perpetrator—a 32-year-old resident of Jelenia Góra County. Both detainees were taken into police custody. They face up to 10 years in prison.
